A Lifetime of Learning... Building... and Finding My Own Way
I'm Kevin Ross, the creator of the In-Home Entrepreneur website. Thanks for stopping by.
For nearly two decades, I have spent most of my time learning, studying, experimenting, and gaining hands-on experience with websites, digital marketing, online business, technology, and the many tools and strategies that have changed along the way.
But that's only part of my story.
I'm also someone who has spent a lot of time observing life, learning from others as well as my own mistakes. I've questioned things, changed my thinking when necessary, and tried to become a better person along the way. And I don't consider myself someone who has all the answers because I don't. But what I do have is experience—and a willingness to keep learning and sharing.
How I Got Started
My experience with building websites goes back to around 2008.
Over the years, I've watched the internet change dramatically. I've learned about websites, online marketing, search engines, content creation, affiliate marketing, multi-level marketing, digital products, social media, artificial intelligence, and many of the technologies people now use to build businesses online.
Some things worked. Some just didn't. I've made many mistakes along my journey. I've forgotten things I once knew and had to relearn them all over again. I've watched strategies come and go. And I've learned that following what everyone else is doing in the business isn't necessarily the best way to build something worthwhile and of your own.
One lesson has stayed with me the longest: Don't compete to look the same as others. Do your own thing and build something people can recognize as yours while learning to trust your business. That belief influences how I approach creativity, online business, and life be lifing.
More Than Business
My interests aren't limited to websites and entrepreneurship. I'm also interested in people—how we think, why we make the decisions we make, how our experiences shape our thinking, and how our values influence the way we treat one another
My own beliefs and perspectives have changed over the years as I've learned more about myself, other people, and life be lifing. However, my faith is an important part of that journey. Biblical principles have increasingly influenced how I think about integrity, truth, responsibility, compassion, judgment, forgiveness, and how I conduct myself toward other people.
And I am still learning. I also think that's important to say. Growth doesn't end because we reach a certain age.
Why I Created In-Home Entrepreneur
What Matters to Me
Integrity matters to me. Truth matters. How we treat people matters to me. I believe making money online is a legitimate purpose of building a business. But I also believe that how we pursue "that money" matters as well.
Success shouldn't require abandoning ethics, misleading people, copying someone else's creativity, or treating people merely as opportunities to make a sale. Those beliefs influence the work I do today, but they're also part of how I try to live my life.
Still Learning... Still Building
At this stage of my life, I'm not interested in pretending I've arrived somewhere that I'm now. I'm still learning. I'm still building. I'm still changing my mind about things when I discover I was wrong.
And I'm still trying to take what I've learned—from business, technology, faith, mistakes, successes, and simply living life—and do something useful with it. That's probably the simplest way to explain who I am.
👋 My name is Kevin Ross, and I'm still a work in progress.
